Legacy Tours follows the trail of Atlanta's African-American history while illuminating black life and achievement in the city from pre-Civil War to the present day. We welcome the opportunity to share this unique historical excursion with you.
Relax in a comfortable motor coach as you tour the historical landmarks of our legacy. Our tour begins with a drive down historic Auburn Avenue, once considered the richest Black street in the world.
King's tomb, Ebenezer Baptist Church and Dr. King's birth home, and various historic exhibits. Our journey continues to the Atlanta University Center.
Comprised of seven colleges and universities, the center is the largest black educational complex in the world. You will surely delight in a visit to the Alonzo Herndon House Museum, a Greek Revival Style mansion built in by Atlanta's first black millionaire. There you will learn about Mr.
Herndon's amazing rise from slavery to great wealth. Atlanta is also known for its beautiful homes and breath taking landscapes.
African-Americans have developed some of the most beautiful neighborhoods in the nation. Our tour showcases Atlanta's African-American neighborhoods and highlights the homes of our leading citizens.
